Art for Kep is an initiative led by Knai Bang Chatt, aimed at transforming the landscape of Kep through the power of diverse artistic expressions. Our vision is centered around three key pillars of inspiration:

This private initiative aspires to achieve several goals: enhancing coastal development, promoting cultural tourism, supporting Cambodian artists, advancing environmental conservation, and providing joy and inspiration to all who visit.

Prince Sisowath Tesso

His Royal Highness Prince Sisowath Tesso. Prince Sisowath Tesso is Director of the Princess Buppha Devi Academy, respected advisor to the King, and former Secretary of State at the Ministry of tourism. An internationally recognized patron and champion of Khmer arts, he combines deep knowledge of artistic heritage, leadership in cultural initiatives, and extensive experience in promoting Cambodian artists globally. His integrity, cultural expertise, and commitment make him an ideal selection committee member for artists seeking trust and mentorship.
Luu Meng

Okhna Luu Meng is one of Cambodia’s most distinguished culinary leaders, CEO of Almond Group, and Vice President of the Cambodia Tourism Federation (Group B). He has devoted his career to preserving the nation’s rich culinary heritage while driving innovation within Cambodia’s hospitality industry. Okhna Luu Meng is celebrated not only for promoting Cambodian cuisine but also for elevating food to the realm of art.
Rithy Panh

Rithy Panh is a globally acclaimed Cambodian filmmaker, celebrated for his pioneering documentaries and feature films chronicling the trauma and legacy of the Khmer Rouge regime. Born in Phnom Penh in 1964, he survived the genocide and later studied cinema in France, before returning to Cambodia to create a groundbreaking body of work, including international award winners such as “S-21: The Khmer Rouge Killing Machine” and “The Missing Picture”—the first Cambodian film to earn an Oscar nomination. In addition to his filmmaking, Panh co-founded the Bophana Center, dedicated to preserving Cambodia’s audiovisual heritage, and remains a central figure in Southeast Asian cinematic

Secretary General of the Steering Committee. Dedicated to advancing music education and cultural revitalization in Kep, Peter Brongers leads the Steering Committee and is instrumental in fostering crossdisciplinary collaboration and the integration of music into Kep’s cultural landscape.

Pierre-André Romano
Founder and Executive Director of Satcha.
An innovator in Cambodian design and craftsmanship, Pierre-André Romano spearheads Satcha’s mission to blend heritage arts with modern approaches, empowering local artisans and promoting sustainable creative economies.

Cédric Eloy
Executive Director of the Cambodia International Film Festival (CIFF. With an extensive background in film curation and international cultural programming, Cédric Eloy leads CIFF, a major force in promoting film arts, artistic exchange, and global partnerships in Cambodia. He is also an advisor to the Selection Committee for film.

Marc Cholleton
Marc Cholleton is Music Program Director and Advisor to the Selection Committee for music, where he curates and oversees the program’s musical direction while guiding the selection of outstanding candidates. With many years of experience in the music world and deep connections across Cambodia’s vibrant scene, he brings both a global perspective and a strong local network to his work.

Mr Youdy Bun
Mr. Youdy Bun, Managing Partner and Founder of Bun & Associates, is one of Cambodia’s leading legal professionals, with more than twenty years of experience in banking, finance, M&A, and dispute resolution. Formerly President of the National Commercial Arbitration Centre and Secretary-General of both the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia and EuroCham Cambodia, he is widely respected for his integrity, leadership, and dedication to community progress. He is currently the Board Chair of Teach for Cambodia, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to solve the problem of educational inequality.
As a dedicated supporter of “Art for Kep,” Mr. Bun has generously offered his Kep beach property to become a dynamic hub for creativity — housing a gallery and studio spaces where artists can work, collaborate, and share their vision with the community.
